He struggled for years within a system that didn't meet his needs, leading to poor academic and emotional outcomes. However, since attending JCOS, everything has improved for the better. Despite not being religious, our son has felt welcomed and respected at the school. The entire JCOS community is deeply positive, down-to-earth, and above-average in their sincere care and service of the children who attend. Additionally, JCOS is significantly less expensive than comparable schools with similar specialized programs.
Our only regret is not discovering JCOS earlier.
I am singing the praises of JCOS!
My son came to the school in the 3rd grade right before COVID started. At that time, he was reading a year behind grade level. His math skills were also delayed. I honestly was not sure if he would catch up. His teachers used evidence-based strategies to help him make strides. His related service providers worked with him in class and outside of class. I am proud to say I have a 6th grader reading at grade level. Thank you JCOS for the academic support and the sense of community we would not have otherwise.
